Cotey and Arnar’s wedding day in June was a relaxed and joyful celebration, made even better by the beautiful summer weather. From start to finish, their day was filled with simple and meaningful moments that made it truly special.
The couple’s story began when they met in the United States, where Arnar had gone to study. Now living together in the U.S., they decided to return to Iceland to celebrate their wedding in a place close to Arnar’s roots.
The morning began with Cotey getting ready at Iðnó, surrounded by her mom and close friends in a calm and cheerful atmosphere. Meanwhile, Arnar spent the morning playing golf with his best friends, keeping things easygoing and fun. Their different ways of starting the day matched their personalities perfectly.
Their first look took place in the peaceful Álþingisgarður behind the parliament. It was a quiet and heartfelt moment just for the two of them. Afterward, they stopped by Aldamót bar for a cocktail together, enjoying a little time alone before the ceremony.
The ceremony by Tjörnin lake was the heart of the day. With the water glistening in the background and everything in bloom, Cotey and Arnar exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. The sunny weather made it even more enjoyable.
Later, everyone headed back to Iðnó for dinner and dancing. The historic venue was the perfect place for their laid-back reception, with great food, warm conversations, and plenty of dancing that went on into the night.
Cotey and Arnar’s wedding was all about celebrating their love in a way that felt true to them. It was a joy to capture their day and all the little moments that made it so memorable.
