On a stormy day in February, Irene & Ivan invited all of the closest family to celebrate their promise of love here in Iceland.
The planned day didn't work out as planned, we were hit by a red storm warning and could not make it outside the town due to a road closure. After adjusting the plans Irene & Ivan had a magical day in the city with an intimate ceremony at Harpa and beautiful wedding reception at the restaurant by the harbor.
The next day, after the storm had passed we hit the road to explore some amazing locations in the south of Iceland, where we had so much fun visiting some waterfalls and syncing in the winter beauty that surrounded us.

When we first looked through Laimonas' photos, we were in awe of the clean beauty he was able to capture but more importantly, the stories he told through those intimate moments. What those photos did not capture, however, was the person behind the lens, and that was an experience that will forever live happily within our hearts and minds.
The day we landed in Iceland, we had the priviledge of meeting with Laimonas and his beautiful and kind partner, Valdi. The conversations flowed as easily as the drinks and we all became fast friends. It was as though we had always known one another. Daylight turned into late night and we had completely forgotten we were supposed to be jetlagged.
Fast forward to our wedding day, Laimonas was there bright and early with all of his equipment in tow. Seeing him again was like a warm cup of tea on a cold winter day, which February in Iceland, it very much was; we were now ready. Throughout the entire ceremony, reception, and photography sessions, we sometimes had forgotten he was even there. Like a magical ninja somehow hiding in pure, white snow, it felt as though it were just the two of us newlyweds together. We saw just how dedicated he is to his craft because despite the frigid outdoor photography sessions, he was dripping in sweat. We could not help but break a smile every time we caught him in the corner of our eyes darting every which way, trying to get the best lighting/angles.
When we were sent the digital photos, it was as though we were watching a movie, photo by photo. It felt as if we were being teleported back to the happiest days of our lives. They brought tears of joy, smiles, laughter, and a deep yearning to do it all over again. They were intimate, special, and every photo was like another surprise and gift from Laimonas; the gift that keeps on giving. We were speechless. All we can say now, is that we are so happy to know that we had chosen the perfect person for us and to be able to treasure these photos that live in our memories so vividly, forever.
We are honored to call Laimonas our photographer, but even moreso proud to also be able to call him our friend. We are so happy and excited for his new studio and we can’t wait to visit it in person!
