Lacey and Cody’s midnight elopement was nothing short of extraordinary—a magical adventure in one of Iceland’s most breathtaking locations. Their journey began the evening before the wedding, as we arrived at our accommodations after a five-hour drive from Reykjavík. Over a delicious dinner, we connected and got to know each other, a vital step in creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for the big day.


Their wedding day started at Fosshotel Núpar, where Lacey and Cody prepared for the adventure ahead. Their first look was an emotional moment, setting the tone for the intimate celebration. From there, we explored the East Coast, stopping at iconic spots like Jökulsárlón and the Diamond Beach.

A sweet surprise came when fellow travelers gifted the couple a heart carved from ice—a spontaneous gesture that added to the day’s magic.


After a lovely dinner at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, we met with their officiant, the goði, and began a one-hour hike to the ceremony site at Múlagljúfur Canyon. The canyon was breathtaking, with dramatic cliffs and glacier views creating a stunning backdrop for their vows.


We were incredibly lucky with the weather—calm, warm with a hint of a glacier breeze, and no wind or rain to disrupt the moment.


Under the midnight sky, Lacey and Cody’s ceremony was an unforgettable blend of nature’s grandeur and their deep connection, a perfect reflection of their adventurous spirits and love for one another.
