Laura and Jason’s love story with Iceland unfolded over multiple visits, creating a deep connection to the land before their wedding day. I had the honor of photographing their engagement at iconic locations like Þingvellir and the Golden Circle—a stunning prelude to the celebration that would follow a year later.
When the time came, Laura and Jason returned to Iceland with over 50 of their closest family and friends to celebrate their love. Their day began with preparations at the stylish Apotek Hotel, where anticipation and joy filled the air.
The ceremony took place at Harpa, Iceland’s architectural gem, where the couple exchanged vows in a space as breathtaking as their journey together. Following the ceremony, guests gathered for a reception in one of Harpa’s bright and elegant rooms, where laughter, heartfelt toasts, and warm connections made the evening unforgettable.
As the night wore on and the weather turned wild, the celebration took a playful twist. For their midnight snack, the couple led their guests to Pylsuvagninn, Reykjavík’s famous hot dog stand, using the parking lot under the city as their adventurous route. It was a lighthearted and memorable ending to a day that celebrated love, family, and Icelandic charm in all its unpredictable beauty.
This wedding was planned by Sara from Pink Iceland.
