I have met Stephanie & Angus in the harbor from where we took a ferry to our secret little island - Viðey. Surprisingly not many local has visited this beautiful oasis, and it is only 5 min by boat from the city harbor. We have walked around the green and luscious island, enjoying a different view of the city. Had some delicious muffins and tea at the café when the time was almost for us to head back to the city and meet all family impatiently waiting for the ceremony to start at the historical Safnahúsið building. It was interesting how we became silent on our way back, I could see the excitement at the same time a little stress surrounding them both when the clock on the ferry was almost 18:00.
My partner and I had the chance to work with Laimonas of Sunday & White for our wedding in Reykjavik. Planning a wedding from abroad can be a stressful affair, but luckily, Laimonas was super responsive and helpful with all of our queries throughout the planning process (while we were miles away in Barcelona, Spain). He was dependable and helpful, working with us to create our perfect wedding.
Initially, my partner and I had hesitated at the thought of doing a separate photo session. Neither of us enjoy being photographed, but Laimonas encouraged us, and we are so glad that we did. When we met him on the day, it immediately felt like we were hanging out with an old friend (who happened to have a camera). He made us feel comfortable and directed us when we needed a bit of help, but ultimately encouraged us to just be ourselves. The results are amazing. We are so happy with the photographs and Laimonas’s ability to capture the joy, love, and excitement that surrounded us that day.
We highly recommend Laimonas if you’re looking for a friendly, easy-going, photographer with a great eye.
